Dear Readers,
I want to THANK a loyal reader for calling me early this
morning about the "East Jefferson Section" front page
article in the Times-Picayune (Friday, November 11, 2005),
reporting about the FACT that FEMA is paying for ALL trash
removal from Jefferson Parish including ALL businesses and
apartment complexes. EVEN BUSINESSES AND APARTMENT
COMPLEXES WITH INSURANCE!!!
Unfortunately, there may be a Caveat in the news article as
there is one line where they say that they will only pay for
and remove the trash from the publicly owned land in front
of the businesses and apartment complexes. Other parts of
the article mention ALL of the demolition debris but not the
reconstruction debris. This seems like something that the
Board and Management should file for reimbursement (of ALL
trash removal) from FEMA or Jefferson Parish RATHER than
wanting to take it out of YOUR Insurance Settlements which
we all know has already been tapped for around $5,000.00 for
the Community Fund.
Maybe the NON-Manager's "SMPTSOE" (Secret Master Plan To
Screw Over Everyone) should have included putting ALL of the
storm debris in the front of the property along Veterans
Blvd. so that the Parish and FEMA would have picked it up
instead of paying $150.00 an hour to River Parish Disposal
for the Bobcat to pick up the trash and put it in the
containers that they then charged more money to haul away.
Then the NON-Manager could have gotten the FEMA money and
still extorted money from all of the victims at FCC and
built up the Secret Fund even more. I know this wasn't
really feasible as the small section of publicly owned land
in front of FCC wasn't nearly large enough to hold all of
our debris but I still have to VENT sometimes too!!! :-D
Every time I report on these things, I see the Board and
Manager, more and more, acting like FAT-CAT politicians in
Washington, D.C., who think that YOUR hard earned money is
theirs... to do with as they see fit and without any input
by YOU.. the taxpayer... or in this case, the Insurance
Claim Extortion Victims!!!!! YOU PAID FOR THE PREMIUMS FOR
THE INSURANCE POLICY WITH YOUR MONTHLY DUES SO WHY DOES THE
ASSOCIATION SEE IT AS THEIR INSURANCE SETTLEMENT????? IT'S
NOT THE BOARDS MONEY.. IT'S YOURS!!!! AND YOU BETTER FIGHT
FOR WHAT IS YOURS OR THEY WILL SCREW YOU ALL OVER!!!!!
THAT IS THE "SECRET PLAN"!!!!!
OTHER LATE BREAKING NEWS-
According to rumors, there is finally going to be an
official BOARD AND OWNER'S MEETING IN DECEMBER, WHICH I
THINK IS JUST THE ANNUAL MEETING, so the Board has not
really seen it as a necessary thing to have a SPECIAL
POST-KATRINA OWNERS MEETING. Heck, why have a meeting where
they might have to answer questions publicly while they can
still have their secret Board Meetings and continue the
"SMPTSOE"?
As soon as I hear some official word as to when the meeting
is to be held, I will report it promptly.
EDITORIAL REPLY-
WHEN WILL THE BOARD FINALLY COME OUT WITH A LETTER TELLING
EVERYONE THAT THE VICTIMS WILL, IN FACT, GET ALL OF "THEIR"
INSURANCE PROCEEDS ALLOCATED TO THEM BY THE INSURANCE
COMPANIES; AND THAT ANY "COMMUNITY FUND ENRICHMENT PLAN"
SHOULD BE PAID FOR BY ALL OF THE UNIT OWNERS... NOT JUST THE
50-60 HURRICANE AND FLOOD VICTIMS.
WHY SHOULD THE VICTIMS HAVE THE FURTHER ANXIETY OF NOT
KNOWING IF THEY CAN AFFORD TILE INSTEAD OF CARPETING... OR
NOT KNOWING IF THEY CAN PUT IN NICE CABINETS INSTEAD OF
CHEAP PARTICLE BOARD CABINETS... OR HAVING TO DO ALL OF THE
WORK THEMSELVES DUE TO NOT KNOWING IF THEY CAN AFFORD TO PAY
A CONTRACTOR'S HIGH PRICES. THESE QUESTION COULD BE
ANSWERED BY THE BOARD AND NON-MANAGER BUT THEY JUST OUTRIGHT
REFUSE TO DO IT!!!!!
IF THE BOARD AND THE NON-MANAGER WOULD JUST TELL THE VICTIMS
"THE REST OF THE STORY" (credits to Paul Harvey), IT WOULD
SURE RELIEVE A LOT OF THE ANXIETY AND TURMOIL THAT SO MANY
OWNERS ARE GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW.
IF THE BOARD AND NON-MANAGER WOULD SPEND MORE TIME DOING
THEIR JOBS, RATHER THAN CURSING OUT THIS WRITER OUT AND
TALKING ABOUT THIS WRITER, THEN MAYBE THINGS WOULD GET
PROPERLY COMMUNICATED TO ALL OF YOU. DON'T THEY REALIZE BY
NOW THAT EVERYTHING THEY SAY ABOUT THIS WRITER GETS BACK TO
ME????
